The two producers that make Psymmetrix are Al and Richie.
They have been writing music together since Winter 04/05, quickly forming a well received live set that they debuted at the ‘Liquid Futures’ NYE party. Since this time they have been either hard at work in the Psymmetrix studio or out playing their live set in many different countries and continents. November 2007 saw the hotly anticipated release of their first album ‘Twin Headed Monster’. The monster was released after months of hard genetic-sonic programming and thorough dance floor testing and was preceded by releases on Doof, Wildthings, Peak, Pharpsyde, Free Radicals, and Looney Moon.
July 2009 saw the release of their 2nd album ‘Psymmetrix and Other Animals’ and they are now working on their 3rd studio album in between a hectic international gig schedule.

Accept no imitations, his music is more psychedelic than bikers on acid and far more reptilian than your limbic system.
Expect flowing softer-hard semi-melodys with small geckos scuttling down your ear drums and multiplying into ‘proppa’ trance almost like the good old days but new fresh and years before its best before date.

Project Sketch is a one man band, Al stands on the street with his bass drum on his back,an harmonica on a stand round his neck and some sort of sandwich in his hands, when he’s not doing this in his imagination he makes squat prog under the name project sketch,,,a deliciously inventive solo live act from Al Psymmetrix, its roots are in progressive trance but it touches many styles and influences bordering on electro,minimal and using sounds from many genres. Its prime mission is to rock the dancefloor. Being dancefloor orientated, project sketch creates an intense mind-washing wirlpool of sound, unlike a lot of the music that its relative too, project sketch is electric and alive with passion.

Le crisi economiche sono endemiche dei sistemi capitalistici: a meno di una radicale svolta nell’impostazione del nostro sistema ne subiremo altre.
L’unica cosa in grado di alleviare gli effetti di una crisi è la reazione che ognuno di noi, singolo individuo e organizzazione, puó mettere in campo. Nel nostro piccolo e con le nostre ristrette risorse finanziarie, abbiamo quindi deciso di rendere definitiva l’agevolazione del prezzo ridotto sperimentata nei mesi scorsi.
Free Spirit Foundation e Big Bang Casa della Pace hanno deciso di confermare l’opzione “Friendly Price”, al costo di 4 € per chi effettuerà l’ingresso dalle 22.30 alle 23.30. Nel prezzo è compreso un Chai (Tè indiano speziato) ed un workshop di Yoga (con inizio alle 23.00). Per lo svolgimento del workshop forniamo noi il necessario, mentre consigliamo un abbigliamento comodo.

La musica elettronica è solo uno dei molti strumenti per trascendere le limitazioni dell’essere fisico. Pensiamo sia bene superare il preconcetto che vede la musica elettronica legata al mero “sballo” ed abbracciare un’idea più ampia, che recupera il valore della musica e della danza come mezzo di trascendenza e guarigione.
Su questa convinzione, abbiamo pensato di arricchire i nostri eventi con alcune sessioni e workshop di yoga per iniziare un percorso parallelo che ci porterà più avanti a focalizzarci maggiormente sullo sviluppo delle capacità cognitive e percettive tramite le metodologie antiche della meditazione e dell’esplorazione del se profondo. Il percorso e l’obiettivo sono audaci, ne siamo consci, ma siamo convinti che, insieme, riusciremo.
Raccomandiamo pace all’interno ed abbigliamento comodo all’esterno.
